A personalized storytelling journey designed around your child
At MapleKids, every story begins with your child — their world, their feelings, and the challenges they’re growing through. Our process is simple for parents, but deeply thoughtful behind the scenes, ensuring each story feels personal, supportive, and meaningful.
Step 1: Share Your Child’s World
You start by telling us about your child. These details help us create a main character your child instantly recognizes as themselves.
We ask for:
Your child’s name, age, and pronouns
Their personality (gentle, energetic, curious, sensitive, shy, bold)
Favorite things (animals, toys, activities, colors, interests)
Everyday situations that matter most in their life
The more we understand your child’s world, the more natural and relatable the story becomes.
Step 2: Tell Us the Challenge (This Is the Heart of the Story)
Every MapleKids story is built around a real emotional or developmental challenge.
You can share:
A specific difficulty your child is experiencing
(for example: bedtime fears, starting school, sibling rivalry, separation anxiety, low confidence, big emotions)
What usually triggers the situation
How your child reacts emotionally
What you hope your child will learn or feel instead
This allows us to gently guide the story toward emotional growth — without pressure, shame, or lectures.
Step 3: Add Family, Culture & Values
Children feel safest when they see their real world reflected back to them.
You may include:
Names of parents, siblings, or caregivers to appear in the story
Cultural background, language preferences, or traditions
Values you want the story to reflect (kindness, respect, independence, empathy, faith, resilience)
MapleKids stories are always written with cultural respect, inclusivity, and emotional safety in mind.
Step 4: Upload Photos (Optional, Not Required)
Photos help make the story even more familiar and comforting — but they are never required.
You can upload:
A clear photo of your child’s face
A family photo
A meaningful place (home, bedroom, school, park)
If you prefer not to upload photos, we still create a fully personalized and emotionally rich story using illustrations.
Step 5: Choose the Story Tone & Style
Every child responds differently to storytelling. You can choose the style that best fits your child’s needs.
Examples include:
Calm & soothing (perfect for bedtime)
Playful & adventurous (for motivation and engagement)
Confidence-building (gentle encouragement)
Emotional learning (naming feelings and coping skills)
Social skills & kindness (friendships, sharing, teamwork)
Step 6: We Write Your Personalized Storybook
Our writers and child-focused storytelling system carefully craft a story that:
Sounds warm, natural, and age-appropriate
Uses your child’s real experiences
Helps your child see themselves as capable and supported
Models healthy emotional responses through story, not instruction
This is not a generic book with a name added — it’s a story built around your child’s emotional journey.
Step 7: Receive & Read Together
You receive your finished storybook, ready to read together.
Your book is designed to:
Be read again and again (repetition builds emotional learning)
Spark meaningful conversations
Help your child feel understood, seen, and empowered
Many families tell us their child asks for “their story” every night — because it feels safe, familiar, and comforting.

How to Get the Best Possible Story
To create the most impactful experience, we recommend:
- Focusing on one main challenge at a time
- Describing real situations your child faces
- Sharing the emotion behind the behavior
- Letting us know what growth you hope to see
- Small details make a big difference.
MapleKids Is More Than a Book
It’s a tool for connection, emotional growth, and healing — wrapped inside a story your child loves.
